Hi, my name is Danielle, and I’m proud to be going into my fourth year as the Director of the Bandon Community Youth Center (BCYC). Working with kids has always been my passion, and every day I feel lucky to help create a safe, fun, and supportive space where young people can learn, grow, and just be themselves. BCYC has become a second home to me and my family, and I’m passionate about building programs and experiences that reflect the heart of Bandon—kindness, connection, and creativity.

Hi! My name is Wren Smith and this is my 4th year at BCYC. I’m officially graduating kindergarten. Don't worry,  I have no plans to retire from BCYC anytime soon. I’ll still be here doing what I do best: keeping my mom busy, making executive decisions, and reminding everyone that I was here first.

My name is Carrie and I am excited to join BCYC this year! I love supporting our local families through childcare, while providing a memorable summer experience for the kids. I can’t wait for all the fun we are going to have.

yMy name is Ciana I’m a recent graduate from George Fox University, I’ll be starting my masters program at UO for school psychology in the fall! I love working with kids and creating a fun safe environment for them to spend their summer!

Hi! My name is Maycee, I am 21 years old born and raised here in Bandon. I graduated Bandon high school in 2023 and from then on started working at the Bandon Community Youth Center in October of 2023. When I’m not working I enjoy traveling and being at the river with my family. Working at the youth center has taught me a lot lessons and values. Being able to be with all those kids is such a privilege. 

Hi! I’m Daren but my friends call me Chase. I’m a 10th grader at Riverview Christian School. I’ve been dancing at Marlo for 9 years and was recently casted as Peter Pan in our recent performance. I love to volunteer all around town at Bandon Christian Fellowship and Ocean Crest Elementary School and have met many awesome people!

Hello, My name is Addi and I'm going to be a Sophomore at Bandon High School. This is my second summer working at Bandon Community Youth Center and I'm looking forward to returning. 

I’m Karina and I am excited to be working at the youth center again! I’m 18 and just graduated from Coquille High School. This is my third year working here & I have had a lot of experiences with kids and can’t wait! 

Hi! I’m Tyler Eickhoff and I’m an 18 year old Class of ‘26 graduate from BHS. This will be my 4th year working for BCYC’s summer program and I’m super excited for another year. Taking care of these kids and making them smile is such a joy and I feel so lucky to be there for them.

Hi, I'm a Student Support Specialist at Ocean Crest Elementary School dedicated to supporting students’ emotional well-being and helping young people feel encouraged, valued, and successful. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jordan, and our three children, Jaymes (11), Athena (10), and Noah (6), making memories together as a family.

Hello! My name is Celia Gonzalez. I am married and the proud mom of four amazing children—a set of 18-year-old boy/girl twins and two daughters, ages 15 and 12. During the school year, I work at Ocean Crest Elementary, where I enjoy supporting students and helping create a positive learning environment. This summer, I’m excited to return as part of the camp team! Working with children is something I truly enjoy, and I love helping them build confidence, make new friends, try new things, and create lasting memories. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every child feels welcomed and encouraged to be themselves. I look forward to an amazing summer filled with laughter, learning, adventure, and lots of fun!

Hi! My name is Dakota, I’m 15 years old, and I’ll be going into my sophomore year at Bandon High School. I love working with kids and going on new adventures with them. I’m excited for the chance to make fun memories, connect with everyone, and have an awesome summer!

Hi! My name is Hunter. I play football and basketball, and I like camping and riding dirt bikes. I love playing basketball with the kids and showing them how to throw a ball. I’m excited for summer camp to start, especially BBQ Fridays… because honestly, that might be the best part of summer.

Hi! My name is Brodey Cassoday, I’m 16 years old, and I love playing guitar. I’m excited to spend the summer hanging out with the kids, making memories, and hopefully surviving all the chaos that comes with summer camp!

I'm Sophia Gonzalez and I go to BHS here in Bandon. I’m 15 years old and love working with others. My goal this summer is to help out, and get to know both staff and your kids. This is my first job and I hope to have fun this summer!

Hi! My name is Audry Smith and I’m going to be in 7th grade. This is my second summer volunteering at BCYC. My passion is theater, and I’ve been in three Bandon Playhouse productions: Radium Girls, A Christmas Story, and Charlotte’s Web. This coming year, I’m hoping to be in even more shows. I’m excited to be here volunteering this summer and helping with the kids and yes, I already know where everything is because I basically grew up here.

Mariah was a beloved part of the Bandon Community Youth Center family. She spent two summers with us making memories, helping kids grow, learn, laugh, and have fun. She was so excited to return again this summer, and we know she would have brought the same kindness, joy, and love that made her so special. Mariah left a lasting impact on our kids, staff, and everyone who had the chance to know her. She will always be remembered, always be loved, and forever be part of BCYC, forever 18.
